DriveByWire operates from the sultry town Deventer;

Charismatic front woman Simone Holsbeek-vocals &guitar ( Cords, ex-Telefunk), Alwin Wubben- low-down-dirty-guitar & slide, and Jerome Miedendorp de Bie (both also playing in Cords) beating the shit out of the drums. Furthermore there's Marcel Zerb on bass and René Rutten (The Gathering), who at times adds extra string induced walls of sound to the DriveByWire sound.

A throat, a buch of guitars, a set of drums and a bottle of single malt whisky is all they need to burn the stage with their heavy grooving desertrock .

A beaten up 69 Dodge Challenger doing 160 through the smouldering desert towards an raging thunderstorm with Chris Goss at the steering wheel and The Stooges kicking it with P.J. Harvey on the backseat, would be the best possible description of the Drive By Wire sound...ooh yeah!

After the release in april 2006 of our debut-album and the 2nd album   "Between Oceans" (3rd album expected summer 2012) they got great raving reviews, in both national and international press. This resulted in a tumultuous club-tour through Holland where they rocked some of the finest venues such as: The Paradiso (Amsterdam), Tivoli ( Utrecht),Patronaat ( Haarlem), Burgerweeshuis ( Deventer), Effenaar (Eindhoven), Melkweg (Amsterdam), Doornroosje and Lux (both Nijmegen), Vera (Groningen), lots of summerfestivals ,toured with cool bands such as Mudhoney, Kyuss , The Gathering .... And they took the DriveByWire rock-o-rama right across the UK and Greece, leaving a trail of smouldering stages and flabbergasted audiences behind them....
